  2. Add the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper. Cook for 7-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned, and the vegetables are softened.


  3. Stir in the minced garlic, cooking for an additional 1 minute.


  4. Mix in the diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.


  5. Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and let it cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
